After a string of six wins, Southwest Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southeast Warren Warhawks. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Southwest Valley this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-50 back in December of 2024.

Southwest Valley's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-6. As for Southeast Warren, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwest Valley will welcome Mount Ayr at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southeast Warren, they will take on Interstate 35 at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Southeast Warren knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Interstate 35 likes a good challenge.
