Recap: Cuba Rams vs. Bosque Bobcats

The Cuba Rams entered their tilt with the Bosque Bobcats with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Cuba blew past the Bobcats 70-31 at home on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cuba also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Aleah Nez continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with six assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Liliana Maestas, who scored ten points along with four steals.

When it comes to explaining why Bosque lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ainsley Capps. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points.

Cuba's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-11. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 41.3 points. As for Bosque, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Cuba has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Sundevils at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New Mexico (Sandia Prep is ranked 94th, while the Rams are ranked 87th). As for Bosque, they will head out on the road to face off against the Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.
