St. Albans waltzed into their game on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Saints, sneaking past 8-6. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Dhillon Cannavo looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Henry Evans was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Myles Upchurch, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.
St. Albans' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-12. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.25 runs across that stretch. As for St. Stephen's & St. Agnes, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
Coming up, St. Albans is taking a road trip to challenge McLean at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Highlanders' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. St. Stephen's & St. Agnes will be paying especially close attention to St. Albans' match: after St. Albans faces off against McLean, they'll take on St. Stephen's & St. Agnes again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
