Baseball Recap: Holton Takes a Loss

Holton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Rossville Bulldogs, falling 10-4. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 12-1 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Grant Warner was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Holton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Rossville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

While Holton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
