The Sunnyslope Vikings will challenge the O'Connor Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sunnyslope is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Sunnyslope is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Xavier College Prep, who was ranked first at the time (Sunnyslope was ranked tenth). The Vikings lost 3-0 to the Gators on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Vikings have suffered since October 1st.

Sunnyslope took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-15, 26-24.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for O'Connor, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past Mountain Ridge 3-0 on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-12, 25-18.

O'Connor is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. As for Sunnyslope, their loss dropped their record down to 19-11.
