Soccer Recap: Bowie Comes Up Short

Bowie was the 2-1 winner over Dripping Springs when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Bowie Bulldogs fell just short of the Dripping Springs Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

Bowie's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Dripping Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Bowie and Dripping Springs could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Bowie will challenge Westlake at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday down 87 places (128 vs. 41). Similarly, Dripping Springs (ranked 120th) will meet Lake Travis (ranked 27th) at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
