Basketball Recap: Lena-Winslow Takes a Loss

If Lena-Winslow was feeling good fresh off their 50-20 takedown of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lena-Winslow Panthers were outmatched by the Pecatonica Indians and fell 60-18. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-11.

Lena-Winslow's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-16. As for Pecatonica, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-4.

Lena-Winslow has already played their next contest (against Pearl City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pecatonica will head out on the road to square off against Durand at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Pecatonica is facing Durand at the right time seeing as Durand is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
