Volleyball Recap: Mountain Pointe Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mountain Pointe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Desert Mountain Wolves, falling 3-0. The Pride were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wolves from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Mountain Pointe was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Desert Mountain work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 26-24.

Tzenni-Bah Bauer paced Mountain Pointe's offense, picking up eight kills. Bauer got some help from Katherine Levin and her 13 assists. Finally, Bauer was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Desert Mountain was led to victory by Maryjane Cockrill and Isabella Mitchell. Cockrill had 17 digs and three aces, while Mitchell had 18 assists. That's the most aces Cockrill has posted since back in September.

Mountain Pointe's loss dropped their record down to 6-23. As for Desert Mountain, with the win, they broke their six-match losing streak and moved their record to 11-21.

Mountain Pointe has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Campo Verde on the 23rd. As for Desert Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Horizon on the 23rd.
