Butte's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Big Sky Eagles. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their five-match losing streak.

Butte had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-18.

Gracie Jonart paced Butte's offense, picking up 20 kills. Jonart got some help from Ellison Graham and her 36 assists. Ellie Yates controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Butte's victory bumped their record up to 3-18. As for Big Sky, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-6.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Butte and Flathead will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd. Big Sky has already played their next contest (against Glacier), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
