Arizona College Prep barely beat Campo Verde the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Arizona College Prep got a great performance from Ava Moynihan as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Moynihan has been consistent : she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Arizona College Prep let Azaria Knight and Samantha Sherman run wild. Knight scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Sherman scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Paula Cantu was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sunnyslope, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against Apollo on Wednesday as Sunnyslope made off with a 17-2 win. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Bryn Daley was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Daley was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Sam Hyde was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Molly Nordstrom, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
Arizona College Prep pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Sunnyslope, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
Sunnyslope's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Arizona College Prep has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10 hits per game. It's a different story for Sunnyslope, though, as they've been averaging 9.5 hits. Given Arizona College Prep's sizable advantage in that area, Sunnyslope will need to find a way to close that gap.
