Basketball Recap: Caesar Rodney Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Sussex Tech

On Monday, Caesar Rodney faced Sussex Tech in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Caesar Rodney Riders fell to the Sussex Tech Ravens 34-29. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Riders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-33 back in December of 2024.

Caesar Rodney's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Sussex Tech, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-7.

Caesar Rodney wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 73-25 loss against Smyrna on the 4th. Sussex Tech has also already played their next contest, a 53-24 defeat against Dover on the 4th.
