Basketball Recap: Olney Comes Up Short

Olney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 62-59 heartbreaker at the hands of the Freire Charter Dragon. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragon apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Olney now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Freire Charter, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-11.

Olney wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 59-55 win against Mastery Charter South co-op [Mastery Charter Lenfest/Mastery Charter Thomas] on the 4th. Freire Charter has also already played their next contest, a 56-49 victory against Academy at Palumbo on the 4th.
