Baseball Recap: Massabesic Gets the Win

Massabesic won the last time they faced Sanford and things went their way on Friday too. The Mustangs came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 4-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Cassius Hogan was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nolan Brooks, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Massabesic's victory bumped their record up to 4-6-1. As for Sanford, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Massabesic is set to challenge their familiar foe Biddeford at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sanford will square off against rival Windham at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
