Basketball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall suffered their closest loss since January 14th on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Fairfield Mules by a score of 65-62. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mules from their previous meeting back in November of 2021.

This is the second loss in a row for Marshall and nudges their season record down to 17-12. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points over those games. As for Fairfield, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-12.

As of now, neither Marshall nor Fairfield have any future games scheduled.
