Basketball Recap: Willsboro Central Takes a Loss

Willsboro Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Boquet Valley Griffins 64-17. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Boquet Valley was led to victory by Ella Pulsifer and Claire Reynolds. Pulsifer almost dropped a triple-double on nine points, 11 rebounds, and 13 steals, while Reynolds went 13 of 29 on her way to 27 points along with six boards and six steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Reynolds has scored at least a third of Boquet Valley's points. Sophie Pulsifer was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to eight assists and six steals.

Willsboro Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Boquet Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
