Baseball Recap: Canyon Springs Find Success

Canyon Springs proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 11) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Vista del Lago Ravens 5-3. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Ravens recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Canyon Springs got a great performance from Dane Karlson as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Karlson also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Cougars are undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-14 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Canyon Springs' victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Wimsatt, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Canyon Springs' record is now 12-14. As for Vista del Lago, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Canyon Springs nor Vista del Lago have any future games scheduled.
