Softball Recap: Mercy Monarchs vs. Gretna East Griffins
Mercy started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Gretna East. They came up short against the Gretna East Griffins on Saturday, falling 10-1. The Monarchs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mercy will head out to take on Gross Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Gross Catholic is coming into the contest with three straight wins at home, so Mercy will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Gretna East, they will square off against Northwest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Gretna East surely won't give up without a fight.
