Baseball Recap: Winthrop Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Winthrop was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They lost 9-2 to the Maranacook Black Bears. The defeat continues a trend for the Ramblers in their meetings with the Black Bears: they've now lost five in a row.

Winthrop's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Maranacook, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Winthrop has already played their next matchup, a 15-3 victory against Maine Central Institute on the 28th. As for Maranacook, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-4 win against Mount Abram on the 29th.
