Osceola has gone a perfect 9-0 against Tohopekaliga recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Osceola Kowboys will welcome the Tohopekaliga Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Osceola is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.
Osceola is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Lyman just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 7-4 to the Greyhounds. The contest marked the Kowboys' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Tenley Dawson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ryleigh Willis, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tohopekaliga, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past Freedom 16-2 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won five in a row.
Maria Santiago was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Tohopekaliga got a massive performance out of Anaya Josue, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That home run was Josue's first of the season. Dyliannis Nieves was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.
Tohopekaliga always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The victory got Tohopekaliga back to even at 3-3. As for Osceola, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Osceola has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.3 hits per game. However, it's not like Tohopekaliga struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
