Trae Elston signed with Mississippi during a signing ceremony at school today.
The 6-foot, 180-pounder is the nation's No. 122 recruit according to MaxPreps, as well as the No. 5 safety. Elston picked the Rebels over California, Louisiana State, Oklahoma State and Central Florida.
During his final prep season, Elston finished with more than 100 tackles and had seven interceptions. Elston also had three interceptions, 15 pass break-ups, seven tackles for loss and 104 tackles in 13 games as a junior and 93 tackles as a sophomore.
Elston reportedly runs 4.41 in the 40-yard dash and has a vertical leap of 34.4 inches.
Also a wide receiver, Elston had 28 catches as a junior and added 12 receptions with 21.2 yards per catch.
He is the teammate of linebacker Kwon Alexander, who is ranked No. 96 overall and the No. 4 outside linebacker, and is headed to LSU.
Mississippi's class was not ranked nationally heading into National Signing Day.
