Volleyball Recap: Tempe Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Tempe was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Coronado on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Buffaloes lost 3-0 to the Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks on Wednesday. The Buffaloes were not able to make up for their defeat to the Golden Hawks from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Liran Mcanelly was nothing short of spectacular for Desert Sunrise: she had 22 digs and two aces. Mcanelly has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more digs the last ten times she's played.

Tempe's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Desert Sunrise, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Tempe will take on Dysart at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Desert Sunrise, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Coronado on the 25th.
