Soccer Recap: Rocky Mount Takes a Loss

Rocky Mount was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Franklinton Red Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Franklinton this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in March.

Rocky Mount's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Franklinton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Rocky Mount will square off against rival Northern Nash at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Franklinton is set to challenge their familiar foe Southern Nash at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
