Softball Recap: McDonell Central Comes Up Short

If McDonell Central was riding high fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Regis on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Macks came up short against the Stanley-Boyd Orioles on Friday, falling 13-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Orioles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 two weeks ago.

McDonell Central's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Stanley-Boyd, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

Coming up, McDonell Central will take on Blair-Taylor in a tournament on Saturday. As for Stanley-Boyd, they will face off against Cadott at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Orioles are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
