Franklin County won against South Pike last Tuesday with 18 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Franklin County Bulldogs didn't even let the South Pike Eagles on the board, marking the Franklin County Bulldogs' second-straight 18-0 shutout. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 18 runs or more this season.

Franklin County got a massive performance out of Gavin Hughes, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Cupit, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Franklin County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .720. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Franklin County and bumps their season record up to 4-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for South Pike, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games.
