Basketball Recap: Kelan Davidson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Rock Hill over South Point

Rock Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 59-48 to the South Point Pointers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Redmen of the 66-39 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Rock Hill lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kelan Davidson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. Davidson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 14 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Barker, who went 6 of 15 en route to 15 points and six assists.

Rock Hill's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for South Point, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rock Hill will head out to challenge Ironton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Point, they are taking a road trip to face off against Rock Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
