Volleyball Recap: Lodi Takes a Loss

Lodi was the 2-0 winner over Richland Center when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Lodi might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Richland Center: every set was decided by two points or less. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-23, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Lodi saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Hailey Bell had nine digs and two aces.

Lodi has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Richland Center, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-12.

Lodi has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Sun Prairie East on the 4th. As for Richland Center, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Cuba City on the 4th.
