Football Recap: Miami Springs Takes a Loss

Miami Springs fell victim to Norland and their airtight defense on Monday. They were dealt a 45-0 loss at the hands of the Norland Vikings. The Golden Hawks' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Norland found their leader in sophomore Cassi Williams, who rushed for 80 yards and one touchdown, and also caught one touchdown. Williams was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards.

Miami Springs' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Norland, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Miami Springs will welcome Central at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Norland, they will head out on the road to face off against Hialeah-Miami Lakes at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Norland's defense has only allowed 3.7 points per game this season, so Hialeah-Miami Lakes' offense will have their work cut out for them.
