Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Cayson Gmerek stepped things up a notch to give Monroe Area the 'W'. West Hall had no answer to Gmerek as he struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Those seven strikeouts gave Gmerek a new career-high.
