Recap: Greenville Christian Saints vs. Grenada Chargers
While it was all tied up 29-29 at halftime, the Greenville Christian Saints were not quite the Grenada Chargers's equal in the second half on Tuesday. Greenville Christian fell just short of Grenada by a score of 58-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Grenada got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jarques Perry out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perry has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Caleb Howard, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Greenville Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Grenada, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.
Greenville Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Delta Streets Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Grenada and Yazoo County will round out the year against one another at 3:00 p.m. on December 28th at.
