Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for San Dieguito Academy

San Dieguito Academy entered their tilt with Mt. Carmel on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Sundevils with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

San Dieguito Academy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Mt. Carmel between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-18, 25-15.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead San Dieguito Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trevor Anderson, who had 24 assists and nine digs. Anderson has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 24 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Ansaldo, who had 12 digs and two aces.

San Dieguito Academy's record now sits at 14-6. As for Mt. Carmel, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

San Dieguito Academy has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Escondido on the 27th. As for Mt. Carmel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Eastlake on the 2nd.
