Softball Recap: Ben Holt College Prep Academy Find Success

Ben Holt College Prep Academy lost to Chavez back in March of 2015, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Bobcats walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Titans.

Cameron Smith and Gabriella Rojas did most of the damage at the plate: Smith went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double, while Rojas scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Rojas has posted since back in April of 2024. Leyah Young also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

The win got Ben Holt College Prep Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Chavez, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Ben Holt College Prep Academy will take on Tokay in a tournament on Saturday. As for Chavez, they will take on McNair at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
