Baseball Game Preview: Quakertown Panthers vs. Non Varsity Opponent

The Quakertown Panthers will challenge Non Varsity Opponent at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Quakertown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.

Quakertown barely beat Abington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Galloping Ghosts on Friday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Galloping Ghosts recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Lochlan Everitt tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, CJ Peacher was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of William Bowen, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Quakertown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .532. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Non Varsity Opponent suffered their closest loss since April 2nd on Saturday. They fell just short of Modoc by a score of 6-4.

Quakertown's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Non Varsity Opponent, their defeat dropped their record down to 95-121-6.
