Basketball Recap: Bogalusa Comes Up Short

Bogalusa won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They came up short against the Sumner Cowboys, falling 40-18. The Lumberjacks have struggled against the Cowboys recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Bogalusa's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Sumner, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-10.

Bogalusa and Sumner could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Bogalusa will challenge Springfield at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday down 203 places (337 vs. 134). Similarly, Sumner (ranked 246th) will meet Pine (ranked 54th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
