Recap: Beckman Patriots vs. West Covina Bulldogs
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Beckman Patriots can now relate to. They took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Covina.
Austin Shepard threw for 117 yards and a touchdown. Dominic Thompson was his top target, picking up 62 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Makhi Czaykowski rushed for 40 yards.
Beckman's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for West Covina, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2.
Beckman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Covina will head out on the road to face off against Xavier Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Xavier Prep is ranked 316th, while West Covina is ranked 304th).
