Softball Recap: Newark Norsemen vs. Somonauk Bobcats
Newark can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They never let the Somonauk Bobcats onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Newark.
Kodi Rizzo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Rizzo has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances. Rizzo was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with a home run and two runs.
