Volleyball Game Preview: St. Xavier Rams vs. Wakefield Bombers

The St. Xavier Rams will head out to square off against the Wakefield Bombers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Monday, St. Xavier came up short against Peabody-Burns and fell 2-0. The Rams have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Wakefield and Canton-Galva, and Canton-Galva kept the tradition alive. The Bombers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-11.

Wakefield's loss dropped their record down to 1-19-1. As for St. Xavier, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
