Volleyball Recap: Hayden's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

There's no place like home for Hayden, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Vail Mountain Rangers on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Hayden was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 20-25, 27-25, 25-19.

Ella Harris paced Hayden's offense, picking up 20 kills. Harris got some help from Chase Howard and her 20 assists. Harris also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Michelle Gray, racking up two apiece.

With the victory, Hayden broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7. As for Vail Mountain, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Hayden has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against North Park on the 13th. As for Vail Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Rangely on the 13th.
