Soccer Recap: Lake Forest Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lake Forest was the 1-1 winner over Carmel when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Corsairs who were credited with the victory on Thursday. The Carmel Corsairs got it done in the shootout by posting six goals to the Lake Forest Scouts' five. Lake Forest have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Connor Phelan, which was the first he's scored this season.

Lake Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Carmel, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Lake Forest has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Lakes on the 30th. As for Carmel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Lake Forest Academy on the 30th.
