Football Recap: Corunna Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Corunna managed to slip by Linden the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cavaliers lost 39-13 to the Eagles on Friday. The Cavaliers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Corunna still got an impressive performance from Ota Wilkerson, who rushed for 76 yards on only ten carries, and also threw for 62 yards and one TD.

Linden was led to victory by Khare Williams and Max Widner. Williams gained 212 total yards, while Widner threw for 152 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Corunna's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Linden, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Corunna and Linden should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Cavaliers (ranked 91st) will meet Clio (ranked 372nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Linden will face off against Kearsley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (81 vs. 310).
