Oakland came tearing into Friday's matchup with seven straight wins dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 49-0 victory over the Huntington Highlanders. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Patriots had established a 35-point advantage.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Oakland's defense and their three sacks. Traivon Jackson refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Huntington's side was Jackson, who picked up 1.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made six total tackles.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Oakland, adding 18 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Joel Wyatt, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Oakland's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Oakland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 35-0 victory against Smyrna on the 5th. As for Huntington, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 22-20 win against Martinsburg on the 5th.
