Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Madison County). They blew past the Cedar Shoals Jaguars 42-7 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Red Raiders' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Jaguars are ranked 295th).

Madison County's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-3. As for Cedar Shoals, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Madison County will welcome Walnut Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Red Raiders are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Cedar Shoals, they will square off against Eastside at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
