Basketball Recap: Point Loma's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Point Loma was the 78-47 winner over Dos Pueblos when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The contest between the Pointers and the Chargers didn't end well, with the Pointers falling 62-48. The loss put an end to the Pointers' undefeated start to the season.

Despite the loss, Point Loma still got an impressive performance from Jax Marple, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 12 points and five boards. Na'Sean Hardy was another key player, putting up ten points and eight rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Point Loma fell to 2-1. As for Dos Pueblos, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Point Loma will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Coronado at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pointers will be up against the Islanders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Dos Pueblos, they will challenge Villa Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers will need to watch out since the Spartans have now posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
