Softball Recap: West Geauga Find Success

While West Geauga's victory against Geneva wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolverines had just enough and edged out the Eagles 4-3 on Monday. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Lely Percassi spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, West Geauga let Morgan Atwara and Dayana Malone run wild. Atwara went 1-for-2 with one home run, while Malone went 2-for-3 with one home run.

West Geauga's victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Geneva, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

West Geauga didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-7 defeat against Mayfield on the 7th. As for Geneva, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 9-2 loss against Gilmour Academy on the 7th.
