Basketball Game Preview: Reed Point/Rapelje Renegades vs. Custer/Hysham

After both having extra time off, the Reed Point/Rapelje Renegades and Custer/Hysham will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Two weeks ago, Reed Point/Rapelje came up short against Broadview/Lavina and fell 37-28. The Renegades have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Custer/Hysham had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they went ahead and made it five two weeks ago. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Rockets 59-27. Custer/Hysham's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Custer/Hysham's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Reed Point/Rapelje, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Reed Point/Rapelje ended up a good deal behind Custer/Hysham in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, losing 47-29. Can Reed Point/Rapelje avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
