Union is 9-1 against Lakewood since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Spartans will look to defend their home pitch against the Leopards at 6:00 p.m. Union has given up an average of 3.9 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Union came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Neuse Charter, falling 7-1.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lakewood, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Rosewood a 2-0 shutout on Tuesday.

Union's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lakewood, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.

Everything went Union's way against Lakewood when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Union made off with a 7-2 victory. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Leopards have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
