Berkeley Prep posted their closest win since October 5, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the New Trier Trevians. The win was familiar territory for the Buccaneers, who have now won three contests in a row.

Berkeley Prep had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-13.

Berkeley Prep's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for New Trier, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berkeley Prep will host Plant at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Trier, they will take on Maine South at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
