Soccer Recap: Esparto Finishes Even with Winters

For the first time this season, Esparto was forced to settle for a draw. They and the Winters Warriors finished up their match with a 2-2 draw on Saturday.

David Martinez was the only thing that stood between Esparto and a shutout considering he scored both of Esparto's goals, bringing his season total up to 16 goals.

With that draw, Esparto's record moves to 6-3-1. Meanwhile, Winters' record is now 2-4-2.

Esparto is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5 goals per game this season. As for Winters, they are taking a road trip to square off against Colusa at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
