Basketball Recap: Lake Belton Takes a Loss

Lake Belton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 68-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waco Lions. The Broncos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 57-42.

Lake Belton now has a losing record at 14-15. As for Waco, they moved to 8-21 with that victory, which also ended their ten-game losing streak.

Lake Belton and Waco could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Lake Belton will face off against Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 334 places (565 vs. 231). Similarly, Waco (ranked 901st) will meet University (ranked 101st) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
