Epping and Farmington are an even 4-4 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Blue Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Epping will be strutting in after a victory while Farmington will be coming in after a defeat.

Epping was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Sunapee on Monday. The Blue Devils blew past the Lakers 12-1. The win continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Lakers: they've now won five in a row.

Seth Lecuyer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Lecuyer was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Chase Kukesh was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Logan Abbott was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Meanwhile, Farmington unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Nute by a score of 7-6 on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost eight in a row.

Everything went Epping's way against Farmington in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Epping made off with a 12-0 victory. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
