Basketball Game Preview: Augusta E Eagles vs. Milledgeville Athletic Club Bears

The Augusta E Eagles will head out to challenge the Milledgeville Athletic Club Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Augusta E breezed past Faith Christian Academy to the tune of 79-43. The win made it back-to-back victories for Augusta E.

Jude Brouwer had a dynamite game, dropping a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 18 games he's played dating back to last season. Ethan Quarles was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 23 points and nine boards.

Augusta E smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Milledgeville Athletic Club took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They walked away with a 54-41 victory over Providence Classical Christian.

Augusta E now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Milledgeville Athletic Club, their record is now 1-0.
